Shrimp pasta ingredients

  • 1/2 kg of pasta pens
  • 1/2 kg medium size shrimp (peeled and cleaned well)
  • 2 cups of cooking cream
  • 2 cups milk at room temperature
  • 1 cup of grated cheese (Parmesan – Cheddar – Mozzarella)
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon each (dried thyme and dried basil)
  • 3 teaspoons of salt (or to taste)
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • dill for garnish

How to make pasta with shrimp

  • Fill a pot with water, add a teaspoon of salt to it, then put it on the stove until it boils
  • Put the pasta in the pot and boil it for about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally so that it does not stick
  • Remove the pasta from the stove, drain it from the water, rinse it with cold water, then leave it in a food processor
  • Put the oil and butter in a saucepan over the heat until it melts, then put the chopped garlic and fry it slightly until it turns light golden in color
  • Put the shrimp in the oil and sauté over high heat, stirring from time to time until the liquids evaporate completely
  • Add two spoonfuls of flour to the shrimp and stir them continuously for a minute, until they become slightly brown
  • Put two cups of milk on the shrimp and stir them a little, then add the basil, thyme, salt, black pepper and onion powder
  • Put the cooking cream and half the amount of grated cheese on the mixture, stir well until the ingredients are completely homogeneous, and continue stirring until it boils
  • Add the pasta to the white sauce and shrimp and stir for two minutes, until the pasta is tender and the flavors are absorbed.
