  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 4 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 small yogurt box (105 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of harissa
  • 1 teaspoon of each (salt – onion powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of (paprika – ginger – thyme – curry)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Big lemon juice
  • Chicken stock cube

Modus operandi of Syrian chicken shawarma

  • Bring 750 grams of chicken breasts (one and a quarter kilos), wash them well, then cut them into longitudinal slices, such as fingers, or medium-sized cubes.
  • In a deep bowl, put the vinegar, oil, soy sauce, ketchup, mush, onion powder, ginger, paprika, thyme, curry and cinnamon.
  • Chop the garlic cloves and squeeze the lemon, then add them to the mixture and stir well until all the ingredients are homogeneous
  • Put the Syrian shawarma seasoning on the chicken pieces, add a spoonful of salt and stir well, then cover and leave in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
  • Put 3 spoons of oil in a pot on the fire until it gets hot, then put the Syrian chicken shawarma with a cube of chicken stock and leave it on a high heat with continuous stirring until it absorbs all the liquid
